Twice a month, the CCOM missions team provides a worship service to those who are in a drug rehabilitation program in Carmel, N.Y.
Pastor Payton draws from 26 years as a mental health worker for DMHAS (State of CT. Health and Addiction Services ). He provides an opportunity to inform area Pastoral and Ministry personnel about homelessness, addiction, and mental health illnesses that plague our communities. With that information he incorporates how the body of Christ can effectively minister, without enabling the crippling behaviors or be held emotional hostage to negative behaviors.
